Artists Of Hoot - Jayesh 'Jayman' Joshi
Jayesh Joshi, also known by his pen name “Jayman” is a 22-year old artist who spent his childhood in Jammu, Silvasa, Bhiwadi, and Gurgaon. After graduating from Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology, Bangalore, he is now a digital painter, music producer, biking-enthusiast, rapper and an amateur YouTuber. His studio is the place where all his artwork and imagination takes shape of reality and breathes nonchalantly.
Quoting Savi Sharma, “Everyone has a story, some are written in the books and some are confined in hearts”, Jayesh belongs to the latter. He shares his story and tell us that because his story is too short and crisp, people quite often tend to not believe him and that makes it more inconvenient for him to explain.
When we asked him about his art and how it happened to him, he says, “ I have been drawing since I was 2 years old and it is one of the most natural things that came to me. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to share my art with people. I wanted people to know me and understand me through art”. We asked him the reason, to which he said, “Art helped me bridge the gap of miscommunication and overcome my fear of social awkwardness”.
His hard work and effort towards his passion is one of the major reasons that now he is confident enough to make himself clear to people on many grounds of life.
“It’s an overwhelming experience when people come to me and talk about my art and appreciate it. I have achieved what I wanted since the beginning of this journey, to be able to express myself, my perception and ideas through my art and be able to reach out to people through my little artistic efforts”, Jayesh talking about how does it feel to be recognized.
One should always be curious to learn new things in life, because, who knows what may come handy in future and save your ass. Jayesh belongs to the Adrenaline-rush age category that wants to explore each and everything. It won’t be too much for us to say that he is a maestro at everything he does. For us all, Jayesh’s story is a very simple example of how not every artist needs to carry a huge story-line with them in order to be driven towards or be taken over by art.
