Mirchi Roohani Sham

India’s favorite radio station, Radio Mirchi, is here with its biggest music carnival, Mirchi Roohani Sham. The event will celebrate the legendary singers of all time, featuring legends like Gurdas Maan, Harshdeep Kaur, and The Manganiyar seduction by Roysten Abel.

The evening will also feature some popular artists of town, to accelerate the evening and make it one hell of an experience for you to remember this year. Can the line-up be anymore better than this?

GURDAS MAAN: He is not just the heart and soul of Punjab but the whole Bollywood industry. He is a singer, songwriter, choreographer and actor. Over decades he has recorded over 34 albums and has written over 305 songs. He is the only Punjabi singer to bag a national award for Best Male Playback Singer at 54th National Film Awards (2007) for building the entire narrative through his singing of Heer in Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris.

MANGANIYAR THE SEDUCTION BY ROYSTEN ABEL: The notion behind creating Manganiyar seduction was, for the Osians to open the film festival in Delhi 2006. This project allowed the collaboration of Roysten with the Manganiyar musicians for the very first time. The amalgamating concept created an astounding union between the Manganiyar music and the visual seduction of Amsterdam red light district. The sets are a historic combination of the Hawa Mahal and the Red-light district of Amsterdam.

HARSHDEEP KAUR: Harshdeep Kaur, popularly known as the “Sufi ki Sultana”, has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema. There is not a single top- notch music director, she hasn’t worked with. For the record, she has worked with legends like A R Rahman, Pritam Chakraborty, Vishal-Shekhar, Salim Sulaiman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Amit Trivedi, Shantanu Moitra, Tanishk Bagchi, Himesh Reshammiya, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
